General
Many illnesses are invisible—but that doesn’t mean we have to be. “See Me Strong” is about demanding visibility (See Me) and embracing strength (Strong). It’s about visibility, validation, and rewriting what it means to be strong.
SMS is dedicated to youth who are:
• Living with an autoimmune or chronic/invisible condition
• Supporting a friend or family member with one
• Passionate about health equity, mental health, or social change
You don’t need a diagnosis to belong here—just empathy, curiosity, and respect. There is often a misconception that only older people develop autoimmune conditions, but many affect younger people and can even occur in adolescence.
